From the NewsPress Forum News Press Story, Dec 25, 2007 |
This story was shot in Sarasota at the Reading Festival.
Lou Dobbs was appearing at the festival to do a book signing and talk. Local college kids were protesting his stand on illegal immigration. Patriots and supporters of Lou, including a group of Florida Minutemen Patriots, gathered in a show of support for Lou and his stand on Illegal Immigration and enforcement of existing immigration law. Here you can see a few of our members being quoted. Additional pictures from the event can be seen here. Members
of the Florida Minutemen Patriots have joined together with
other groups and been represented at events,
rallys and protests around Florida to include
Tallahassee, Orlando, Jupiter, Miami, Sarasota, LaBelle and Tampa. Additionally
we have brought our
message to numerous local events including
Presidential Rally’s, Meet & Greets with State
Representatives, and protests throughout Lee
and Collier counties. When we attend events
we take a non-confrontational stand, and
do not verbally or physically (other than by
our presence) invite, or respond to taunts or
gestures from the opposing side.
